Embryo Donation Perth – Giving the Gift of Life

At Oasis Fertility Centre in Perth, we recognise the profound impact of generosity and the hope it ignites for those navigating fertility challenges. Welcome to our embryo donation program, designed to assist individuals and couples across Western Australia in realising their dream of parenthood. We deeply understand the complexities of infertility and the heartfelt desire of many West Australians to build loving families.

Our mission is to facilitate ethical and supportive embryo donation, providing couples or individuals with stored surplus embryos an alternative to discarding them once their family is complete. We appreciate that this decision is significant and involves considerable emotional consideration. Our dedicated team is committed to offering you the comprehensive support, information, and guidance you require throughout the entire donation process.

It’s important to be aware that specific medical eligibility criteria apply to donors, alongside legal and ethical considerations. By choosing to donate, you are extending an extraordinary opportunity to those facing infertility, medical conditions, or genetic concerns that hinder conception.

Why choose Embryo Donation?

Embryo donation involves transferring a frozen embryo, created through IVF, to a recipient’s uterus. This process allows the recipient to experience pregnancy and childbirth, while providing the donor with the fulfilling opportunity to help others by giving their unused embryos a chance at life.

The Donation Process

We ensure a thorough yet seamless process, with no out-of-pocket expenses, to support our donors at every stage. If you have already been a patient with us, some of the screening tests may already have been done during your treatment cycle. The steps to embryo donation are:

  1. Initial Consultation – Meet with our donor team to discuss the process and expectations.
  2. Screening and Testing – Undergo medical evaluations to confirm eligibility.
  3. Counselling – Receive professional counselling, ensuring informed decision-making.
  4. Follow up Consultation – Meet with our doctors to discuss the results of your eligibility screening and finalise donation documentation.
  5. Compensation – While financial compensation is not permitted under Australian law, donors can receive reimbursement for reasonable expenses incurred during the donation process.
