Yvette Thomson

Executive Assistant & Oasis Foundation Manager

Yvette embarked on her journey in the medical industry in 1989, marking the beginning of a dedicated career that has spanned over three decades. Since 1990, she has worked the gynaecology field, initially serving as a secretary and progressing to the role of a practice manager. Yvette’s passion for her work is evident in her enjoyment of interacting with patients, with a particular focus on witnessing the joy of successful pregnancies, especially for couples who have faced years of challenges in conceiving. Her commitment to excellence and a love for the dynamic atmosphere of a fast-paced team environment have been key elements in her professional approach.
Looking ahead, Yvette is eagerly anticipating the challenge of establishing and overseeing the Oasis Foundation. This foundation holds the promise of extending much-needed support to couples who might otherwise struggle to afford fertility treatment. Aligned with Dr. Baruah’s vision, she believes that fertility treatments should be accessible to everyone, and she is determined to contribute to making this vision a reality.
Beyond her professional life, Yvette Thomson wears the hat of a devoted grandma to four grandchildren. Her involvement in netball and surf lifesaving spans more than 25 years, during which she has served on various boards. These pursuits not only showcase her commitment to sports but also reflect her engagement in community activities, contributing to the betterment of the lives around her.
